Rhythm and Rail Fair

The community would like to come together to celebrate its talented local artists and producers. The aim is to hold a Rhythm and Rail Fair starting at the Macedon Station car park with a local producers farmer's market and stage of performances that runs throughout the day.

Visitors would arrive by steam train from Melbourne to come and join locals for the day.

Both villagers and tourists would be welcomed at Macedon Station, would enjoy the market goodies on offer, while being entertained by local artist performances.

Local businesses would be engaged to hold events as part of the program of the day, to invite patronage and tourists to Macedon.

For more detail on the ideas and philosophy of this street fair, please refer to the follow three documents:

Celebrating our heritage and talented artists

At the cross road of Bruce and Victoria Streets, the community envisage a carpet of picnic blankets and a large audience watching the live music acts that would run throughout the entire day.

The stage would draw people up from the train station, all the way along the main street and invite guests to rest, eat and enjoy Macedon on show.
